Why test your floor?
Every tile loses its factory slip resistance over time and with use. A floor's appearance is not enough to judge its slip resistance: moisture, contamination and the way the floor is maintained all matter.
A measurement helps designers, investors, facility managers and administrators assess the surface and plan next steps.

The British pendulum test gives the PTV (Pendulum Test Value). We match the test conditions and slider to how the surface is used.

Measurement methods
British pendulum test (PTV)
The core slip resistance test, named in the guidelines of the Building Research Institute (ITB) and the Ministry. The pendulum's rubber slider mimics a pedestrian's step, and the result is given as a PTV.
How to read a PTV result?
Slip potential classification by the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
